Come join me in this educational and experiential 1-day workshop designed to highlight the interpersonal nature of our nervous systems in support of recovering from the hidden relational traumas that have affected us throughout our lives.
We will discuss and explore:
- The Interpersonal Nature of Developmental Psychology: The “Social Brain”
- The Differences between “Shock” and “Developmental” Trauma
- Healthy vs Toxic Shame: The function and dysfunction of shame dynamics
- Shame as the underlying mechanism of developmental trauma, and various disorders
- Inquiry into our own developmental challenges and unresolved toxic shame
- Self-help and therapeutic skills designed to shift shame dynamics and heal our social brain (support greater connection, empowerment and healthy relationships)
