Course Description: This course provides an introduction to the field of psychology, defined as the scientific study of all human behaviors, including observable actions, emotions, and thinking processes. The approach of the course offers students a foundation for applying the principles of psychology to daily life, understanding the self and others, enhancing interpersonal relationships, and preparing for further study in psychology. Topics include the psychology-biology connection, learning, memory, mental processes, emotions, motivation, human development, mental illness, psychotherapy, human interaction, and methods used in psychological research.
Brad’s Description: This class involves Psychology as the holistic study of the human experience. Cognitive, emotional, behavioral, physiological, spiritual, multicultural, social, group and individual processes will be examined. This class explores what it means to be human!
